This article is a test record of the "Blockchain Technology" course experiment, aimed at verifying the core functions of the decentralized blogging system xLog based on the Crossbell blockchain. Through this experiment, we gained an in-depth understanding of the essential differences between Web3 content creation platforms and traditional Web2 blogs (such as WordPress).
In traditional platforms, data is stored on centralized servers, and users do not truly own their data. In xLog, every published article is signed by a MetaMask wallet and generates a unique transaction hash (Transaction Hash), which is ultimately packaged on-chain. This means that once content is published, it possesses the characteristics of immutability and permanent storage, achieving true "data ownership."
Additionally, xLog cleverly addresses the user entry barrier issue through smart contracts, enabling a smooth experience without the need to directly pay Gas fees. This test successfully completed the entire process of account creation, content on-chain, and on-chain data querying. This was not just a simple posting operation, but also an intuitive experience of decentralized identity (DID) and digital asset ownership.
